Originally from France, Sandrine Pelissier has lived in North Vancouver, Canada, for the past 23 years.
Her work has been widely exhibited and collected throughout Canada and internationally. She is also a participating artist in the Vancouver Art Gallery’s Art Rentals and Sales program.
Many of her paintings have been featured in art books and magazines, including Artist Magazine, Watercolor Artist Magazine, Acrylic Magazine, and International Artist Magazine. In addition to her artwork, she has authored two art instruction books: Fearless Watercolor for Beginners: Adventurous Painting Techniques to Get You Started and Painting Imaginary Flowers: Beautiful Blooms and Abstract Patterns in Mixed Media.
For the past seven years, Sandrine has been writing for her blog, PaintingDemos.com, which attracts approximately 20,000 monthly visitors and has a mailing list of around 10,000 subscribers.
An active member of her community, she co-founded the North Shore Art Crawl and a weekly life drawing group. She also served as a board member of the North Vancouver Arts Council for seven years and has been invited as a juror for public art projects, art grants, and juried exhibitions.
