Meredith Beardmore

Meredith Beardmore, a psychotherapist operating a private practice outside New York City, is also known as “Mend with Mere” from her successful YouTube channel.

A graduate of The Ohio State University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Meredith specializes in substance abuse treatment, supporting family members of addicts, and helping emerging adults navigate challenges ranging from identity development to depression.

She utilizes therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and incorporates Mindfulness and Expressive Arts techniques into her practice.

A former Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Coordinator at Iona College, Meredith trains clinicians on substance use and suicide prevention, enabling them to earn Continuing Education Credits for professional license renewal in New York State.

Her YouTube channel, Mend with Mere, originally created for therapy discussions, gained popularity for her insightful breakdowns of song lyrics. Meredith also engages in public speaking and has contributed to The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, and Colman McCarthy’s book Teaching Peace.

She currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, with her dog, Reese, and her son, Jules.
