David Friedman

David Friedman is a prolific songwriter whose inspiring and hopeful compositions have taken on new significance in today’s challenging times. With a remarkable career spanning multi-platinum recordings, Broadway productions, Disney films, television scores, and nationwide teaching and lecturing, he has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.

Best known for songs like "We Can Be Kind," "Listen to My Heart," "Help Is On The Way," "We Live on Borrowed Time," "Trust The Wind," and "I'll Be Here With You," David’s work has been recorded by legendary artists including Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, and Nancy LaMott.

His career began on Broadway, where he conducted beloved musicals such as Grease, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Song and Dance. He later transitioned to Hollywood, serving as Conductor and Vocal Arranger for Disney classics including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.His collaboration with Disney also included writing music and lyrics for Aladdin and the King of Thieves and scoring three animated television series.

Broadway also welcomed David as a musical theater composer. In partnership with Peter Kellogg, he co-wrote Chasing Nicolette, Stunt Girl, Lincoln in Love, and Desperate Measures. His Christmas Oratorio, King Island Christmas, has enjoyed widespread popularity with numerous productions worldwide.

Beyond his music career, David embarked on a metaphysical journey, developing The Thought Exchange® method. Originally created to empower artists at Unity Church of New York City, this transformative approach has since reached people from all walks of life. Through workshops and private sessions across the country, he helps individuals embrace positive change and personal growth.
