Lerner’s academic achievements include membership in Phi Beta Kappa and an MBA from Pace University. She also holds a master’s degree in education from City College of New York, where she currently resides.

Her journey began as a dedicated public school teacher in New York City before transitioning to the business world. In the 1980s, she made her mark in sales and marketing at The New York Times, steadily rising through management ranks.

A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Lerner authored The Confidence Myth: Why Women Undervalue Their Skills and How to Get Over It (2015), which offers invaluable insights for professional women.

She is also the driving force behind Creative Expansions, Inc., a multimedia enterprise dedicated to supporting women and girls. Since founding the company in 1994, she has produced and hosted over 20 televised specials, with WomenWorking.com emerging as its flagship platform, fostering a vibrant community for career-driven women.
