Yacov Morad

Yacov Morad is a winemaker, author, and the founder of Morad Winery in Israel. At just 10 years old, he watched his father make wine on a small plot of land outside their home, and by the age of 12, he was crafting wine on his own. After 30 years of experience, he and his wife Ester opened Morad Winery in 1999 to rave reviews. Morad Winery was the first commercial winery in Israel to make wine from almost anything but grapes—including parsley, sweet potatoes, and sage—welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world. Today, Yacov teaches students the secrets of crafting mouth-watering wines and liqueurs from unexpected ingredients.
